NEWS: Vodacom launches ICT centre in Eastern Cape

A cell phone company in partnership with the Eastern Cape Department of Basic Education has unveiled a teacher training centre in Port Elizabeth.

Through its Mobile Education, Vodacom and the department have established 40 ICT (Information and Communications Technology) teachers’ centres and also equipped and connected a total of 893 schools countrywide.

Teachers in Port Elizabeth will be trained on the integration of ICT in the classroom and transfer their knowledge to the learners, helping them in subjects like Maths and Science.
