NEW: Five Rhino Poachers Handed 15 Years Behind Bars

The Louis Trichardt Magistrates Court in Limpopo has sentenced five rhino poachers to 15 years each behind bars, and a sixth man to ten years.

They were found guilty of illegally hunting and dehorning a white rhino bull in the Mapungubwe National Park and world heritage site almost two years ago.

South African National Parks’ (SANParks) Reynold Thakuli says they welcome the outcome.
