NEW: Even government does not pay e-tolls, it's blatantly unfair to expect citizens to: DA

It was "pure hypocrisy" that government called on citizens and businesses to buy e-tags and pay e-tolls‚ when a number of metropolitan municipalities refused to pay e-tolls‚ Democratic Alliance (DA) shadow minister of transport‚ Manny de Freitas said on Wednesday.















“This was confirmed in a reply to a DA parliamentary question‚ which revealed that the three worst offending local governments in Gauteng are: Ekurhuleni Metropolitan municipality (R1‚838.383); City of Tshwane Metropolitan municipality (R351‚644); and the Emfuleni Local municipality which owes R127‚685.
