NEWS: Correctional Services to consider Oscar Pistorius’ disability needs

Oscar Pistorius’ disability will be taken into account should he be sentenced to serve prison time.

The Paralympic champion was yesterday found guilty of culpable homicide in the death of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, by the North Gauteng High Court.

Correctional Services spokesperson, Logan Maistry, says offenders with disabilities are individually placed and catered for depending on their needs, adding that healthcare workers are provided at each facility to assist in this regard.
