NEWS: Musician with a gentle soul

Benedict Maabote, Afro-soul artist from Bloemfontien's Freedom Square, had no idea that using tins as his  musical instruments during his earlier years, would, one day, lead him right into the music industry.

Simply known as Mr Super Profound Legend to his fans, Mabote's attitude of being loving, humble anddown to earth will surely smooth his path to greatness in the music industry, where dog eats dog.

"In 2007 I released my Gospel album Impilo Revelation of Heart with 11 tracks.

"It was recieved well and to this day is doing fairly well.

"Although my first album did well my heart really belongs to Afro-soul and I am currently
promoting my EP, which is basically an example of my up-and-coming Afro soul music.  "Its compiledof five tracks and will be launched in September.

Mabote intends releasing the full album of this EP with 12 tracks next February, entitled A life of a Gentleman.

"My music promotes love and I sing basically about what I base my life on.  What keeps me going
are God and prayer and all of this represents love," he confidently said.
