NEW: Violent Protests Erupt In Klipheuwel

CAPE TOWN – A neighbourhood watch group in the Klipheuwel area said protesting residents from a local informal settlement have been causing chaos in the community over the past few days.

A section of the R302 between Durbanville and Malmesbury had to be closed to traffic this morning as protesters took to the streets. It’s believed they’re demanding water and electricity.
