NEWS: Zuma will help a school for Mandela Day - what will you do?

Stringing a wire fence to stop livestock getting into a school yard and planting 67 trees – that’s how President Jacob Zuma plans to honour Nelson Mandela International Day.

The presidency said in a statement that Zuma will on July 18 officially open a newly upgraded state of the art school in Mvezo‚ in the Eastern Cape. The Makgatho Lewanika Primary School was formed as a result of a merger between Nkwenkwezi Primary School and Mvezo Primary School and it currently has an enrolment of 600 learners.

As part of his 67 minutes contribution to the community‚ President Zuma will help reinforce the existing perimeter fence “by securing an extra mesh wire around the school in order to prevent the livestock from grazing inside the premises of the school”.
