NEWS: Krispy Kreme doughnuts coming to South Africa

“Krispy Kreme will quickly become a South African favourite.” That’s what the global doughnut company and coffee retailer is hoping for as it plans to open 31 shops in the country over next five years.


On Thursday‚ it was announced that Krispy Kreme has signed a development agreement with KK Doughnuts SA‚ in what is the US company’s first venture into Africa.

KK Doughnuts SA is owned by John & Gerry’s Brands and Fournews‚ the majority partner which has six other well-established brands in its stable: Cafe Fino‚ News Cafe‚ Smooch‚ Moyo‚ illy GO! and the soon-to-be-launched Brooklyn Brothers.
