NEWS: Government steps in to halt the slide at Eskom, SAA and the Post Office

Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe has announced the appointment of a war room technical team to oversee the immediate implementation of a turnaround plan for Eskom.

The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting. Radebe says Cabinet is concerned about the performance of some state-owned companies, in particular Eskom, SAA and the Post Office.

President Jacob Zuma has assigned Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa to oversee government’s action plan for all three entities.
