NEWS: State officials say they were ordered to destroy all documents related to the Nkandla upgrades

Government officials were reportedly ordered by ministers, directors-general and a state security officer to destroy documents related to the Nkandla project.

City Press reports that this is what Public Works officials will testify when they face departmental disciplinary  hearings to account for the wastage of public money in the controversial 246-million-Rands upgrade to President Jacob Zuma’s private residence.

The accused officials say they and their colleagues were told to leave no paper trail or recordings of
many secret Nkandla meetings held during the construction period.
