NEWS: Special church service held for men, women in uniform

A special church service has been held in Cape Town for servicemen and women.  This is because more police officers were killed on the Cape Flats last week. The annual event is aimed at creating a culture of honouring men and women in uniform.

Men and women in the police, correctional and emergency services, the navy and Community Police Forum (CPF) among others, bolstered through prayers and recognition.

New Faith Church Pastor Jerome Campher says, “People don't know that there is a whole other world out there at night, and we are granted the opportunity to sleep safely because of these men and women, and I think it's important that people know this.”
