NEWS: Positive health check for SA

As the effects of apartheid are being erode, South Africans are living longer.

That's the word from statician-general Pali Lehohla who attributed this to government policies that have improved living conditions in the country.

Releasing the 2012 mortality report in Pretoria, he said: "The past six hears have been an era of decreasing mortality,

during which the overall number of deaths declined, particularly among females and those aged 20 to 44 years," Lehohla said.
